Industry as well as crafts men seek for a transparent cut finish without visible knife marks when machining transparent Thermoplastics such as PMMA or PC. Conventional carbide bits donﾕt give a shining and clear cut finish. Only Mono-Diamond and Natural Diamond tipped tooling provide a transparent finish. However, not everybody is willing to make such an investment. The Acryl Bit is a solid carbide router bit, which enables shining and transparent cuts in PMMA. Because of a special carbide grade, and a painstaking grinding process, the cutting edge and gullet area is polished to a mirror finish. Unlike Diamond milling cutters, the Acryl Bit allows drilling and routing in any direction or material shape. Transparent cut finish. Reasonable solution for short and medium runs. Can be used for plunge cutting and routing.
